Five Googlebook laptops running the Googlebook OS have been introduced, including the HP Googlebook 14, which is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chip. Like all Googlebooks, this laptop prioritizes long battery life, with the Googlebook 14 capable of lasting up to 19 hours.
It features a 14-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and touchscreen support. This is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 65-watt (4-cell) battery. It supports 65W fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 50% capacity in 45 minutes.
The device includes a 5MP IR webcam and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. Additionally, the keyboard is backlit, and the touchpad features a haptic feedback system. I/O options consist of two USB Type-C ports (10Gbps) and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The audio system comprises four speakers. Finally, the active cooling system utilizes a vapor chamber. All these components are packed into a laptop weighing 1.25 kg. The HP Googlebook 14 will be sold for $1,299 (~RM5,295) starting in October, available in Atmospheric Blue.
