The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Pro have officially become the first devices launched with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series flagship chip. Like last year's models, the Leica camera system and the secondary screen on the back of the device have been retained in these latest models.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is the top-tier model, featuring a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4000 nits, complete with Dolby Vision support. The main screen incorporates a privacy system that prevents viewing from certain angles, similar to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The secondary screen on the back is a 2.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, also boasting a 120Hz refresh rate, 4000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and an 8500 mAh battery. It supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wireless charging.
The main camera setup consists of a 200MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP telephoto lens (3.2x zoom) with OIS. A 50MP camera is used for selfies on the front. Leica Summilux lenses are utilized for the main camera.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4000 nits, complete with Dolby Vision and the privacy system. The secondary screen on the back is slightly smaller at 2.7 inches (LTPO AMOLED), also featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, 4000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and a 7,000mAh battery. It supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wireless charging.
The main camera setup mirrors that of the Pro Max, featuring a 200MP OIS wide-angle lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP OIS 3.2x telephoto lens. A 50MP camera is used for selfies. Leica lenses are employed for the main camera system.
Both devices run on HyperOS 4, based on Android 17. They include various AI features such as image generation, summarization, and editing tools. These AI features can be accessed via the secondary display on the back. The devices feature stereo speakers and meet IP69 standards for water and dust resistance.
