ICANN, the body responsible for managing domain names on the internet, has published the full list of applications for new domain name extensions submitted for the 2026 cycle. The list reveals that various brands are seeking their own branded domain extensions, alongside applications for extensions based on specific functions, subjects, or features.
A total of 1,615 applications were submitted, with 333 focusing on brands. From the Asian region, 218 applications were made, including nine in Arabic and Chinese scripts.
Among the extensions requested by various companies are .agent and .agi, reflecting recent developments in the field of artificial intelligence. At the same time, a number of brand-specific domain extensions were applied for, including .capcut, .huawei, .tiktok, .xiaomi, .airbnb, and others. Telegram also submitted applications for .gram and .telegram.
ICANN will likely screen each application before the approved domain extensions are officially activated.
