Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim officially tabled Budget 2027 today, announcing the SARA MADANI 2027 initiative. Under this program, the government will provide RM100 twice in 2027: once before Aidilfitri and again in conjunction with the 70th anniversary of Independence (Merdeka).
SARA MADANI 2027 will be available to all Malaysians aged 18 and above.
The redemption process is expected to mirror current methods—utilizing digital wallets—and the funds can be used at selected locations nationwide, thereby helping to alleviate the financial burden on the people.
