Google Japan Introduces a GBoard Keyboard Featuring a Conveyor Belt Mechanism

You might recognize GBoard as the mobile keyboard app developed by Google, but did you know they have also designed a physical keyboard that anyone can create using 3D printing?

This latest version of GBoard, created by Google Japan, features a design that is not only vertical but also utilizes a conveyor belt mechanism to move the keys. This function is designed to make one-handed typing easier for users.

The GBoard keyboard consists of four rows, each containing 29 keys for various letters, numbers, and symbols. All four conveyor belt rows move, allowing users to press the desired keys without needing to move their hands excessively.

The keyboard includes multiple speed modes, and users can even connect two of these units to a computer for faster typing speeds.

Google Japan has stated that they have no plans to sell this keyboard commercially; however, they have provided instructions on their GitHub page for users to build and assemble the keyboard themselves.
