The Vivo V80 has just been launched in India as a new mid-range smartphone. Its design mirrors the style popularized by Apple, featuring a large, elongated camera module. The device's main highlight is its ZEISS camera system, which includes a dedicated video mode and various AI-powered functions.
The camera system comprises a 50MP ZEISS telephoto lens featuring the Sony IMX882 sensor, OIS, 3x optical zoom, and up to 100x digital zoom. This is paired with a 50MP ZEISS main camera (utilizing the Sony LYTIA 700V sensor with OIS and CIPA 4.5 support) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The phone also offers a portrait mode with up to 10x zoom and five specific focal lengths—23mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm—complete with ZEISS bokeh effects. On the front, there is a 50MP autofocus camera.
At its core, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It is also among the first phones to ship with Origin OS 7 (based on Android 17) out of the box. The Vivo V80 is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner, IP69 water resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and eSIM support. Rounding out the specifications are a massive 7200mAh battery with 90W fast charging and a 6.59-inch 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display.
