The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 series were also announced along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Z Flip 3 5G. What are the advantages of your two new IoT devices, Samsung?
Galaxy Watch 4
Unlike its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic no longer use Tizen as their operating system. In collaboration with Google, Samsung uses WearOS with the OneUI interface.

But not just software, the South Korean tech giant is bringing improvements to smartwatch hardware. On the back of the Galaxy Watch 4 Series is mounted the Samsung BioActive Sensor which combines three sensors into one, namely the heart rate, the electrical heart rate sensor (ECG) and the Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor.
This means Galaxy Watch4 users can monitor their blood pressure, detect irregular AFib heartbeats, measure their blood oxygen levels anytime, anywhere.
Yoon added that the Galaxy Watch 4 series is the first smartwatch that can calculate the composition of the human body. Users can see skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body fat, BMI and body water instantly.
In 14 seconds, the sensor will take 2,400 important data and analyze it. Samsung claims the accuracy of the results reaches 98%. As a result, it can motivate users to achieve the desired goals.
“These features give you a more holistic and beneficial understanding of your health, so you can tailor your health routine to your personal needs and lifestyle and be your best self,” explains Yoon.
To help users fitness, Samsung provides Home Exercise. Users only need to connect the Watch 4 to the Samsung Smart TV.
Watch 4 has Advanced Sleep Management which has the ability to detect snoring and monitor oxygen in the blood. And because it uses Wear OS, users can install third -party apps.
All these capabilities are promised by Samsung to run smoothly. This is because the Watch 4 series is equipped with the Exynos 920 which has a 5 nm fabrication combined with 1.5 GB RAM. Samsung also installed a screen with high resolution and additional memory of up to 16 GB.
The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in 40 and 44 mm sizes. While the Classic version has a choice of 42 and 46 mm.
Samsung will start selling its smartwatches on August 27th. Prices for the Galaxy Watch 4 start at USD 250, while the Watch 4 Classic is released from USD 350.
Galaxy Buds 2
The Galaxy Buds 2 is designed to fit in the ear comfortably for all -day use and delivers premium sound quality. This TWS has dynamic Two -Way speakers that are claimed to be capable of producing high notes and clear deep bass.
Buds 2 has active noise cancellation that can reduce ambient noise by up to 98%. If the user needs to hear ambient sound, there are three levels of ambient sound that can be selected as desired.
Galaxy Buds 2 also makes the user’s voice clearer when making calls thanks to the latest machine learning developments that can filter out various types of noise around the user.
Speaking of looks, the Galaxy Buds2 is Samsung’s smallest and lightest earbud to date, while still carrying a special curved shape to support better sound quality.
For more comfortable ear use, users can try the “Earbud fit test” that Samsung has developed on the Galaxy Wearable app. There are four contemporary color options that users can choose from - graphite, white, olive, and lavender - in making the Galaxy Buds2 an essential element of self -expression, which can be complemented by additional cases from third parties.
