Xiaomi announced that it would no longer use the Mi name for its flagship line of phones. Now Xiaomi's first flagship phone that doesn't carry Mi frills has been revealed, the 11T series.
Actually Xiaomi has launched the Mix 4, its first flagship phone that doesn't use the Mi name. But the phone is currently only available in China, while the Xiaomi 11T series will be launched globally.
As previously leaked, the Xiaomi 11T series will come in two variants, namely the standard and Pro variants. The loss of the Mi name from this series has been confirmed in the certification documents and leaks from the retailer.
Quoted from XDA Developer, Wednesday (25/8/2021) in the document registered with the Thai certification body NBTC, the marketing name for the Pro model is written as 'Xiaomi 11T Pro'. The name for the standard variant has not been confirmed, but it is likely that the name will be 'Xiaomi 11T'.
From the certification at the FCC, the schematic of the back of the Xiaomi 11T series has been revealed, as well as the supported 5G bands. The phone will run MIUI 12.5, has NFC support, and supports 5G networks on the n5, n7, n38, n41, n66, n77, and n78 bands.
The color choices offered by the Xiaomi 11T series were also leaked by European retailers. From the leak, the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro will come in three color options, namely Celestial Blue, Meteorite Gray and Moonlight White. This leak also confirms the loss of the Mi name from these two phones.
The same leak also reveals the configuration and pricing of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro in Europe. Both will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal memory options.
The retailer revealed the price of the 128GB version of the Xiaomi 11T in Europe at 633.96 pounds (Rp. 12.5 million) and the price of the 256GB version of 660.95 pounds (Rp. 13 million). While the 128GB version of the Xiaomi 11T Pro will be priced at £758.69 (Rp. 14.9 million) and the 256GB version is priced at £785.42 (Rp. 15.5 million).
Based on previous leaks, the Xiaomi 11T is predicted to carry a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, a 64 MP camera, and a 120Hz OLED screen. While the Xiaomi 11T Pro will be equipped with Snapdragon 888, 108 MP camera, 5,000 mAh battery, 120W fast charging, and 120Hz OLED screen.
It looks like these two phones will be introduced in the near future. Xiaomi recently shared an invitation to launch a product on September 15 without giving a hint about the product to be launched. It is likely that they will announce the 11T series at this event alongside the global launch of the Mi Pad 5 tablet.
