IDC once again revealed the performance of the world mobile phone market in the second quarter of 2021. Xiaomi managed to overtake Apple and almost lost to Samsung, which is still the dominant.
Samsung continues to lead the market by shipping 59 million units worldwide. This figure is up 9.3% from the same period a year earlier.

While Xiaomi took second place for the first time. The Lei Jun -made company shipped 53.1 million units of HP. Making growth very significant, reaching 86.6% YoY.

"The smartphone market is fortunate enough not to experience severe supply constraints such as the automotive, PC and display industries. The pandemic is still unresolved, but consumers around the world continue to show a need for mobile devices and a desire to shop here. Category," Ryan said Reith, Vice President of Programs with Mobile Device Tracker and IDC Users.

"Shipments of 5G devices are on the rise, especially when the price point goes down, but we continue to believe that consumers haven't bought specifically for 5G. They're buying because they need a replacement device, and in some first-time smartphone purchases."
