Twitter announced a new feature, Ticketed Spaces, which allows creators to earn. However, it is currently only available for iOS users.
"We want to help users create awesome Spaces and make money. We hope to bring it to everyone soon. We know it will take a little while, but we want to do it right for you," wrote Twitter Spaces.
Actually Ticketed Spaces was first tested in June, along with another feature, Super Follows, for users aged 18 and over. Where they are working to launch it for iOS and Android.
Creators can set the ticket fee that must be paid by followers, starting from USD 1 or around Rp. 14 thousand, to a maximum of USD 999 or around Rp. 14 million. However, it should be noted that the income will be subject to a 3% deduction.
However, if Ticketed Spaces revenue including Super Follows reaches a total of USD 50 thousand or around IDR 716 million, the burden will increase to 20%. Then it will increase again, when this feature is more widely available.
How can creators start activating the Ticketed Spaces feature?
To begin with, Twitter says that users must meet the criteria. In the early stages, the number of people who signed up for this feature was very limited. However, they will put potential users on a waiting list.
"In the sidebar menu, go to Monetization, then select Ticketed Spaces. That's where you can learn more about this feature and check whether you meet the criteria or not," wrote Twitter.
This feature is here to support his new service, namely Space. Allows users to host Audio chats, just like Clubhouse.
A little information, the audio conversation room can indeed be enjoyed by Android and iOS users. Unfortunately, the paid feature, namely Ticketed Spaces, is currently only available on iOS.
