Apple has reportedly acquired Primephonic, a music streaming service that offers its users an experience to listen to classical music.
In addition there are search and search functions optimized for premium quality classic audio, handpicked expert recommendations, and extensive contextual details about repertoire and recordings.
With the addition of Primephonic features, Apple Music users will get a significantly enhanced classical music experience starting with Primephonic playlists and exclusive audio content.
In the coming months Apple Music Classical users will have a personalized experience with the best of Primephonic features including better search and search capabilities by composers and repertoires, detailed view of classical music metadata, plus new features and benefits.

"Together, we're bringing great new classic features to Apple Music, and in the near future, we'll be bringing special classic experiences that will truly be the best in the world."
Primephonic itself will no longer be available to new subscribers and will be offline starting September 7th. Apple Music plans to launch a dedicated classical music app next year that combines the classic Primephonic user interface that fans love with even more additional features.
Meanwhile, current Primephonic subscribers will receive six months of Apple Music for free and provide access to hundreds of thousands of classic albums all in high-resolution, Lossless audio and hundreds of classic albums on Apple Music Spatial Audio with new albums added regularly.
