Apple's next generation software update iOS 15 for iPhone is now available for download. Launched in June 2021, the public version of iOS 15 brings many new features to iPhone users.

Citing Gadgets Now, there are 15 features that will support iOS 15. With iOS 15, iPhone users can expect features that can make the device work better. Here are some of them:


1. New notifications on iPhone

Apple has redesigned notifications with iOS 15. App icons have become bigger and contact photos can also be added. iOS 15 also brings a notification summary that automatically collects all notifications and sends them at the right time. Next, users will have the option to organize notifications by priority.



2. 'Find My' for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max

Users can use the 'Find My' network to get the approximate location of their lost AirPods Pro or AirPods Max with iOS 15. It works by getting into Bluetooth range so it can play a sound and find it


3. Focus Mode

By starting Focus mode, users can filter notifications and apps by focusing on what they want at any given time. Users have the option to block incoming notifications and their status will be shown to their contacts - only in iMessages. Focus has the option to set modes for different occasions such as work, driving or sleeping.


4. Safari's new look

Apple has added a new tab bar that sits at the bottom of the screen that was previously above the screen. Additionally, Safari gets a customizable start page and web extension.


5. New Dictionary for India

Apple introduces a bilingual dictionary for India. These include Urdu-English, Tamil-English, Telugu-English and Gujarati-English.


6. FaceTime Calling for Windows and Android

Apple opened its ecosystem to the outside with FaceTime calling which now works on Android and Windows devices too. Users will be able to create links that can be shared with people on Android or Windows.


7. FaceTime calling just got better

With iOS 15, FaceTime calls will get sound isolation and spatial audio features. This will make a sound audible from where the person is.


8. Apple Maps gets some new features

Apple has been adding features to its Maps app every year. iOS 15 brings a 3D view of the city and adds more detail, shows buildings, and more. There is also a Transit feature available for certain cities.



9. More information about user photos

With iOS 15, users will be able to see more information about photos. Information such as camera used, lens, file size and more. Users can also edit locations, add captions, and do more with Phoyos.


10. Smart Reply to type in Hindi

iOS 15 brings support for Hindi in the 'Smart Replies' feature on the keyboard.


11. Share media files on FaceTime

iOS 15 brings the SharePlay feature that allows users to share media files during FaceTime calls. Users can share music files, video files with others during calls.


12. New unique addition to Memoji

Users can choose different colors for their left eye and right eye to the Memoji avatar. Nine new Memoji stickers allow waving and more. Users can customize their Memoji with three new eyewear options, including heart, star and retro shapes.


13. Photos app has music support

The Memories feature in the Photos app gets a new design and a more interactive interface. Apple Music integration is also now supported with Memories so users can select songs for personalized effects.


14. 'Live Text' feature is present in Photos app

With iOS 15, captions are now fully interactive on all photos. Users can use functions such as copy and paste, search and translate. 'Live Text' works in Photos, Screenshots, Quick Look and Safari, as well as in live preview with Camera.


15. All-new informative Weather app

Apple has redesigned the Weather app in iOS 15. Users will be able to see graphical displays, full-screen maps, and animated backgrounds.
