Remember, at least 53 types of mobile phones of various brands will be blocked by WhatsApp starting November 1, 2021. This is the complete list, make sure yours is not included.
This blocking is not a matter of favoritism, but is related to the problem with the 53 HP operating system which is outdated. The system no longer supports WhatsApp security features and other new features.
That's why WhatsApp through its parent Facebook has made an announcement. For the best user experience, this old cellphone will no longer be able to use WhatsApp.
WhatsApp will no longer support Android phones running OS 4.0.4 and earlier. Whereas WhatsApp for iPhone requires iOS 10 or later.
Judging from the Android FAQ and iPhone FAQ, Friday (9/24/2021) WhatsApp requires that the cellphone is running Android 4.1 or later, and iOS 10 or later.

If your type of cellphone is not on this list, don't be happy just yet, especially if your cellphone is really old. You can check the OS version yourself on your cellphone. This is the way.
How to find out the OS version on HP:
iPhone
Go to Settings > General > About, see the iOS version.
Android
Go to Settings and then select About Phone (usually at the bottom). Then see which Android version is running
Well make sure an Android running OS 4.1 and up, and an iPhone running iOS 10 and up. If not, it's time to buy a new cellphone so you can still use WhatsApp.
