LG UltraGear, Gaming Speaker Delivers 3D Sound

LG Electronics officially introduced the first speaker for gamers. Named the LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9, this device is claimed to offer three-dimensional (3D) sound quality that delivers a real experience when playing games.

LG combines 3D Gaming Sound technology and HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) algorithm. This algorithm is designed to adjust the audio color according to the game genre. The combination of the two, users can feel the detail of surround sound virtually complete with realistic nuances of space, position and direction without the need to use a headset.

The LG UltraGear GP9 has been certified Hi-Res Audio so gamers get quality sound while playing their favorite games. With a higher sampling rate, Hi-Res Audio can deliver richer and fuller sound reproduction throughout the game.

The performance of the integrated GP9 Hi-Fi Quad DAC (ES9038PRO) which is commonly found in high-end audio devices is also claimed to make it able to stream high quality sound when connected to a PC.

For ease of setting for users, the LG UltraGear GP9 has a Game Genre Optimizer feature. Consisting of two modes, this feature works to adjust the audio to the genre of the game being played.

FPS mode allows fans of First-Person Shooter games to hear the smallest details, allowing them to react more quickly to enemies stealthily approaching their position. While the settings in RTS mode increase realism with original spatial sounds that can immerse players of the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) genre game.

In addition, DTS Headphone:X support allows the LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker to deliver immersive virtual 7.1 surround sound when using a headset or earphones.

In the LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9, the company has also equipped it with a unique voice chat feature that allows users to communicate with other players without the need for a separate headset or microphone. This is thanks to the built-in microphone with a unique echo cancellation algorithm that can distinguish the user's voice from the sound of the game and the sound of the surrounding environment.

These powerful speakers can also perform the role of the discrete sound card that many PC gamers love. Not only does it allow users to download professionally tuned EQ settings via a companion app, this speaker also lets users share game-specific sound settings with other gamers.

In terms of design, this product combines a modern and stylish look. LG provides control buttons on the top of the device that make it easy to quickly change microphone, volume and sound modes.

It even features customizable RGB lighting that can display 16.8 million different colors to create a more engaging environment and enhance the overall gaming experience.

Especially for connectivity support, the LG GP9 has an optical cable and USB-C which makes it easy to connect to PCs and game consoles. In addition, users can also choose the option to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth support.

LG has not announced the price and schedule when the speakers for this gamer will be presented in the market.
