Millions of Android phones will be blocked using the Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube applications starting today (27/9/2021). Because Google closed access for HP users who are still running Android 2.3.7 or Gingerbread to its services.
In February 2017, the Mountain View-based company suspended all Google Pay payments from all phones running Android 2.3. And now, Google is taking it a step further.
"As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our users safe, Google will no longer allow sign-in to Android devices running Android 2.3.7 or lower starting September 27, 2021. If you sign in to your device, you may get an incorrect username or password. when you try to use Google products and services such as Gmail, YouTube, and Maps," explained a Google spokesperson.

If your cellphone is not on the list, don't be happy just yet, it's a good idea to check the Android operating system that is running on the device you are using. To check the Android OS version you are running, open Settings or Settings. then press About Phone. You will see the version of Android you are using.
If the cellphone is still running Android 2.3.7 or below, then you must update to a newer operating system if you want to continue using Google services. If the update is not available, then you have to buy a new cellphone that runs Android OS 11 or later.
