Users are reluctant to change to iPhone 13 even though it brings an upgrade, why?

On September 15, Apple will launch the iPhone 13. Despite bringing a number of improvements, older iPhone users are reluctant to upgrade, why not?

Based on a survey conducted by Savings.com on 1,500 iPhone users, only 10% of respondents expressed interest in switching to an iPhone 13.

While 64% of respondents surveyed would not give up their current iPhone because it is still comfortable to use. There are 26% of respondents who still have not made a decision because they are still waiting for the launch event first.

This survey comes down to analyzing people's interest in the improvements that the iPhone 13 will bring based on leaks that have been circulating. The most anticipated feature is satellite communication.

As many as 27% of current iPhone users say they are happy with the satellite connectivity on the iPhone 13 Series, the presence of this feature was first reported by Apple specialist analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Many suspect this feature allows users to send messages and phone calls via satellite without being connected to a cellular connection. But apparently, based on a recent report from Bloomberg, this feature is limited to calling emergency services or contacts in areas that don't have a signal.

As many as 22% of respondents expect a camera upgrade on the iPhone 13 Series, and 15% have better battery life than before. While 14% expect the new A15 Bionic chipset to be more powerful.

Usage time played a major factor in respondents' plans to upgrade to the new iPhone 13 Series. 70% of users planning to upgrade have used their current iPhone in the last 2 years.

The reason those who don't plan on upgrading is that their current iPhone is still too good. Therefore they do not want to let go of it to upgrade to the new iPhone 13 series, as reported by Phonearena, Monday (13/9/2021).
