White House Dodges About Corona Research Funds in Wuhan Lab

A shocking new document reveals that America is funding Corona Virus research at the Wuhan Lab involving Dr Anthony Fauci. How does the White House, the office of the president of the United States, respond to this news?

As reported, The Intercept obtained more than 900 pages of documents detailing what the EcoHealth Alliance, a health organization in the US, is using American state money to fund research on Corona viruses from bats in laboratories in China.

EcoHealth Alliance's funding for bat coronavirus research was USD 3.1 million, including USD 599,000 used by the Wuhan Institute of Virology to identify and modify bat Corona viruses that may infect humans.

Various parties believe that there is a responsibility here for Dr Anthony Fauci, chief health adviser to US President Joe Biden and director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). That's because the EcoHealth Alliance's research money through the NIH (National Institutes of Health) comes from NIAID and Anthony Fauci is the director.

Fauci in May 2021, once speaking in Congress, denied that US money was being used for 'gain-of-function' research at the Wuhan Lab. 'gain of function' research is research that genetically alters organisms that might add function to test a theory. If applied to a virus, this research could make it more infectious or more lethal.

In response to this news, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended Dr Anthony Fauci. He was asked by a Fox News reporter that Fauci had lied with the publication of the documents by The Intercept.

Psaki stated that the National Institute of Health (NIH) had denied the report from The Intercept. Even if there is research, it is carried out on other Corona viruses, which do not lead to COVID-19. The Corona virus is of many types.

"The NIH has never approved any research that would make the Corona virus more dangerous to humans, a reminder that there is a Corona virus that previously existed and was different from the one we are currently fighting," said Psaki.

"The science produced from this research demonstrates that published bat Corona virus sequences from research supported by the NIH are not COVID strains, so what he (Fauci) said is true," he concluded.

In other words, although it is true that American funds were used to fund the Corona virus in the Wuhan Lab, the type is different from COVID-19 and also not made more dangerous by the gain of function method. With this denial from the White House, it is clear that Fauci's position is still quite safe.
