11-Year-Old Child Dies Due to Cell Phone Exploding While Learning Online

 


Dear parents, don't forget to check the cellphone that your child uses to learn online. There is an incident where a child died when his cell phone exploded.

This tragedy happened in Vietnam . An 11-year-old child in Nghe An Province died from burns due to the cellphone he was using exploded while studying online on Thursday (14/10) afternoon at 16.00 local time.


The Nam Dan District Education Department said the incident began when the child was studying online. The condition is, the cellphone is being charged and the child is wearing earphones.



As a result of the explosion of the cell phone, the child suffered burns. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by his family and neighbors. But unfortunately his life could not be saved. The child died that night.


The victim was a 5th grader at Nam Anh Elementary School. In the Nam Dan area, schools have started limited face-to-face meetings. However, to prevent cases of COVID-19, there is online learning 1 day a week.


Regarding this case, it is better for parents to be vigilant. Because, similar incidents have happened before in India, including in Indonesia.


There are various reasons why a cellphone can explode, ranging from a short circuit due to an error when charging the battery, the cellphone battery is too hot, a pirated charger device, to being used continuously even though it is being charged.


There are several ways to prevent this, according to gadget expert Lucky Sebastian. First, always use the original official default charger from the device we use. Second, do not use the battery until it is completely discharged and the device turns off.


Third, do not put the cellphone in a hot place or in the sun. Fourth, don't plug in your cellphone with a charger for more than 16 hours.
