Xiaomi announced an increase in the price of a number of mobile phones sold in the market. Don't worry, only 8 HP will have an increase in price starting this October.
Through its Instagram account, Xiaomi revealed the reason why the price of the 8 cellphones had been adjusted. This policy had to be implemented due to the scarcity of components.
"So as you probably already know, the condition of the world smartphone industry is currently faced with a shortage of components which results in price increases. This has resulted in several of our products being affected by this," wrote the @xiaomi account.
"Therefore, with a heavy heart, we have to make price adjustments," he continued.

Previously reported, when contacted by us, Xiaomi said that the price increase was due to the scarcity of components to produce mobile phones. They also admitted that they could not comment on other manufacturers who did not or have not increased the price of their cellphones.
We cannot comment on other vendors. What we can say, this is Xiaomi's effort to realize its commitment to keep margins of no more than 5% for hardware.
Stephanie also explained that the scarcity of this chip has actually been going on for a long time. Even so, Xiaomi continues to release new products.
"It is undeniable, the scarcity of components at the same time results in increased costs, so it is with a heavy heart that we have to adjust the prices for our four smartphone products," he added.
