New YouTube Features Help Find Fresh Creators and Content

YouTube has started rolling out new features to help users discover new creators and fresher content on its platform.

This feature called 'New to you' is now available on YouTube pages on all devices including Android phones and Smart TVs.

To try out the personalized features, users just need to tap on the 'New to you' tab in the topic bar. But if you can't find the topic bar on your phone, try to refresh or refresh the YouTube homepage once.

The 'New to you' feature can also appear when a user scrolls through the feed in the mobile app and makes sure YouTube is signed in with a Google account to view the new tab.

In addition to videos related to the topic the user is interested in, the new tab will also recommend content that may be slightly different from what users usually watch on YouTube. In some ways, it's very similar to the "For You" page on TikTok.

"You've told us you'd like to see new creators and new videos after following your recommendations, so we hope this new option keeps things fresh, while helping creators connect with new audiences!" says Meaghan Meaghan of TeamYouTube.

The 'New to you' feature comes less than a month after YouTube introduced new text and audio tools to improve accessibility on its platform.

YouTube has also recently made it easier to continue watching unfinished videos from your phone on PC with a new 'Continue watching' option in the YouTube web mini player.
