Redmi K50 Pro+ Has a 108MP Camera and Periscope Zoom

After not much information about the Redmi K50 series, now there are finally leaks regarding the successor to the Redmi K40. Anything?

This leak from Weibo discusses the highest series, namely the Redmi K50 Pro +. For this Pro + series, Xiaomi seems to be using various flagship components, such as the Snapdragon 898 which is currently unreleased.

Then the battery will have a capacity of 5,000 mAh, and have a screen with a punch hole in the middle to store the front camera. The fingerprint sensor is no longer on the power button, but will be under the screen.

As for the rear camera, the main camera will use a 108MP sensor and also have a camera with a telephoto periscope lens, the amount of which has not been revealed yet.

The issue of the launch date has not been revealed, but from the choice of processor it can be seen that this phone will not be released in 2021. The reason is that Qualcomm (usually) only shows off its newest chip at the end of every year, namely in December.

From this it can be assumed that the Redmi K50 Pro + will be released at the beginning of 2022 at the earliest.

Previously reported, Xiaomi spread a list of phones that would be the first to receive Android 12. Of course, the lucky series was the row of flagship phones, namely Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra. Unfortunately, despite carrying the name Mi 11, Mi 11 Lite is not on the list.

Then specifically in China, there are also several other variants that have previously also undergone a beta period for Android 12, namely Mi 11X and Mi 11i. But both of them are also not on the list of the first Xiaomi phones that will get the update.

Apart from the Mi series, there are also Redmi series, namely the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ which are in the first wave of Xiaomi phones for Android 12. However, the update is still being tested internally, and the exact date of its release is unknown.
