Spotify has been supporting music streaming services on the PlayStation 5 since last November, with this feature allowing users to listen to music while playing games.
Well, it is reported that in addition to Spotify, there is also Apple Music that will support the PS5 console to listen to favorite songs.
This is seen by Reddit users who post images of Apple Music that appear in the login menu on the PS5. These options appear after they create a new account and try to link it to Spotify.
But the Apple Music app didn't work, this Reddit user also shared a photo showing the message, "This app can only be played on PS4".
According to Eurogamer the message is a standard error when the application is unavailable.
Eurogamer says it can also see Apple Music options when creating a new Apple Music account, though it can't reproduce doing so. But the Apple Music option didn't appear when he tried again to create a new Apple Music account.
The inconsistency of Apple Music's options suggests that Reddit and Eurogamer users may be the part of users who may know something is being done by Sony and Apple.
The two companies recently collaborated on the Apple TV Plus promotion for PS5 owners, so it's possible there is a related relationship on Apple Music on the PS5.
Apple brought Apple Music to Samsung's smart TVs last year, indicating that they are willing to expand the availability of applications beyond Apple's platform.
The app appears just days before Apple's October 18, 2021 event which will be a potential venue for Apple and Sony to announce that the app will be present on the PS5.
Unfortunately, both Sony and Apple did not respond.
