This is Nvidia's Fastest GPU for Crypto Mining, the price?

Nvidia has a special line of GPUs for crypto miners, namely the 'Cryptocurrency Mining Processor' (CMP). The fastest series is the CMP 170HX. How much it costs?

The CMP 170HX was spotted on sale at a retailer in Dubai called Vipera. The store claims they have 238 units of the CMP 170HX at a price of USD 4,300.

It looks expensive indeed, but a similar GPU also appeared at an auction on the Yahoo Japan site with an opening price of USD 5,285, much more expensive.

This CMP 170HX has a hash rate of 164 MHps for mining Ethereum. Much faster than other CMP models on Nvidia's official website, whose mining speed is 'only' 86MH/s for 90HX.

In terms of shape, the CMP170HX measures two slots equipped with a silver shroud. The GPU chip is made with a 7nm process, has 4480 shading units, 280 texture mapping units and 128 ROP.

Inside there are 280 tensor cores, and the GPU itself operates at a speed of 1140 MHz and can be increased to 1410 MHz while the memory speed is 1458.

Nvidia's line of CMP GPUs was released after they circumvented the hash rate in the gamer's GPU line. This step is taken by Nvidia so that gamers can still get a stock GPU without having to compete with miners, which makes GPUs a rarity in the market.

The first series to be circumcised was the RTX 3060, and was later expanded to the RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and RTX 3060 Ti. But then the system was successfully uprooted and its performance is still relatively high. That is 70% of the initial speed.

On the other hand, AMD does not have a system that limits GPU performance for mining. However, they denied accusations of allowing or even prioritizing Radeon GPUs for miners.
