The fall of Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, et al might be a blessing for Twitter, because netizens are busy discussing it on these platforms.

Even trending topics on Twitter are dominated by the topic of the fall of WhatsApp and Instagram.


Twitter and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey also mocked the collapse of Mark Zuckerberg's line of platforms. For example Twitter, which immediately 'greets' all its users.

"Hello literally everyone," wrote Twitter, apparently greeting all the WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook users who complained about the service's downfall on Twitter.



Not only that, Dorsey through the @jack account several times seemed to make fun of the downfall of Facebook et al. One of them was when he replied to a tweet indicating that the facebook.com domain was available for purchase.

He also replied to the tweet of the @WhatsApp account which replied to the greeting of the @Twitter account. Jack quipped about the encryption problem that WhatsApp applied in the tweet.

Dorsey has previously mocked Facebook several times on various occasions. For example, when Facebook changes the writing on its logo to all caps.

He also railed against Facebook when they released Libra, their first step in the cryptocurrency space. At the time, Dorsey said he would never try Libra, which was met with opposition from various parties, including the United States government.
