Apple Starts Freeing Its Store Visitors Without Masks

Apple will reportedly end the requirement to use masks for customers who come to some Apple retail stores in the United States.

This announcement was made through Apple's internal memory to all employees, where the decision was based on a decrease in Corona virus cases and also an increase in vaccination rates.

The policy will apply to Apple store customers in more than 100 of the 279 stores in the US, applicable to both vaccinated and unvaccinated customers.

However, the requirements for wearing masks for Apple store employees will remain in effect and will continue for customers in areas where local governments still require the use of masks indoors.

Apple added that they will continue to monitor local guidance and COVID-19 case data throughout the upcoming holiday season and adjust accordingly as reported by us from The Verge.

Previously, it was known that Apple had several times changed its policy regarding the use of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March 2020 Apple closed most of its stores when Corona cases spiked in the US, in May 2020, they began to reopen but did not allow customers to enter the store, so only on the side of the road.

After starting to subside, Apple slowly began to open some of its stores to the public. However, customers must carry out body temperature checks and require customers and employees to wear masks.

In July 2021, COVID-19 cases in the US exploded again. But at the same time, vaccination rates have started to increase and are widely available so that once the cases decrease, it is enough to just wear a mask.
