The 2021 SEA Game Awards announced the list of winners last weekend. Four games made by Indonesian developers managed to dominate this year's SEA Game Awards.
The SEA Game Award is an award event that celebrates the indie game industry in Southeast Asia. In its fifth year, the SEA Game Awards has 10 categories filled with dozens of games from various genres.
One of the awards that was won by a game from Indonesia was the Grand Jury Award, which is the most prestigious category in this event. This category was won by Coffee Talk, the flagship game from game developer from Tangerang Toge Productions.
Another game from Indonesia, Biwar: Legend of Dragon Slayer, won the Best Technology category. This action-adventure game featuring Balinese and Papuan culture was developed by developer from Bali Devata Game Production.
When the Past Was Around, a local game that relies on stories and touching visuals, won the Best Visual Art category. This game was developed by Mojiken Studio, a game developer from Surabaya and published by Toge Productions.
The vertical platformer game Rising Hell won two categories, namely Best Game Design and Best Audio. This game was developed by Tahoe Games, a game developer from Kediri and published by Toge Productions.
