If in 2020 Google Play chose applications that offer relaxation and entertainment to fight anxiety during a pandemic, this time they are looking for winners who make a positive contribution to the user's personal development.
That's why Google Play chose Balance as the best app of 2021. This app offers meditation and sleep aid programs designed specifically for each user.
According to Google Play, apps that focus on personal development are highly sought after throughout 2021. Apps like Balance are also included in the list of best apps, such as Laughscape, Calm, Empath, Mentor Space, and others.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Unite was named the best game of 2021. This title was previously held by Genshin Impact in 2020.
Google Play also invites users to vote for their favorite apps and games throughout 2021. This year, the Paramount Plus streaming app was chosen as the best app of choice by users, and Free Fire Max was named the best game of choice for users.
