Indonesia is one of the countries considered important by the Clubhouse. There are several reasons why this audio-based social media has this view.
Aarthi Ramamurthy, Head of International Clubhouse, said that Indonesia has enormous potential in terms of its market size. But that's not the only reason that makes this country a priority.
Clubhouse sees so many creators in Indonesia, and they often display very diverse content. Aarthi gave an example of the Midnight Talk room which often summarizes the Clubhouse town hall sessions.
"The behavior of the Indonesian community is very unique and different from other countries," he said while talking at the One Year Journey and Future Clubhouse session in Indonesia which was held online, Tuesday (11/16/2021).
Aarthi said he was amazed by how Indonesians took advantage of the Clubhouse platform. Each week he found something different.
"So it's not only in terms of the number that is indeed large, but also from the diversity and excitement," he concluded.
Because it is so important, Clubhouse provides support for launching Indonesian language settings, and will be followed by Javanese language settings in the near future.
Speaking of global scale, even a year old, Clubhouse continues to grow with more than 700,000 discussion rooms (rooms) taking place every day and people spend an average of 70 minutes at the Clubhouse every day.
This year, Clubhouse rolled out several updates, including bringing the Backchannel feature. In July 2021, the app decided to remove the 'waiting list' system and has opened its doors wider so that everyone can now join the Clubhouse.
While September 2021, more than 1 billion messages have been sent via Backchannel. In addition, this application also has the latest features such as Wave, Clubhouse Links, Clips, Pinned Links, and Replays. For product updates, Clubhouse also provides Universal Search, Spatial Audio, Music Mode and Payment features.
Clubhouse also launched Creator Commons, a platform where creators can find the guidance they need to support their success at Clubhouse. There are also tips provided by the Clubhouse Team and other creators.
