Realme 8i and C25Y officially launched on the market

 


Towards the end of 2021, Realme still has ammunition for two affordable phones launched in the market. This time they launched Realme 8i and Realme C25Y simultaneously.

Realme 8i

Realme 8i is predicted to be the most affordable 120Hz refresh rate phone on the market. This phone carries a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels (FHD +) and a punch-hole design.


"Realme continues to make leaps and bounds with this technology and allows more young people to enjoy a smoother experience," said Product Marketing Manager Realme Alessio Bradde at the virtual launch of Realme 8i and C25Y, Wednesday (11/24/2021).



The MediaTek Helio G96 chipset powers the Realme 8i along with the Arm Mali-G57 GPU. Realme 8i comes in two configurations of RAM and internal memory, namely 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. For the 6GB/128GB variant, there is a RAM expansion feature that can increase its capacity up to 5GB.


For photography, the Realme 8i is equipped with three rear cameras with a combination of a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP B&W lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front there is a 16 MP selfie camera.




The 5,000 mAh battery supports the day-to-day performance of the Realme 8i. This battery is equipped with 18W fast charging which is claimed to only take 36 minutes to charge the battery up to 50%.


Realme 8i also comes with complementary features such as a fingerprint sensor on the side, USB-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.1. This phone comes in two color options, namely Space Black and Space Purple


Realme C25Y

Realme C25Y was launched to target the entry-level mobile segment. Realme says this is the first C-series phone to feature a 50 MP camera.


"We realize that photography is an important feature for everyone. So the first thing we chose to embed in the Realme C25Y was a 50 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture," said Realme's Senior Product Marketing Manager JJ Kwan.


Realme C25Y comes with a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. This phone has a waterdrop notch design with a screen-to-bddy ratio of 88.7%.


The performance of the Realme C25Y is supported by the Unisoc T610 chipset made with 12nm processing and the Mali-G52 GPU. This phone comes in one choice of RAM and internal memory configuration, namely 4GB/64GB.


Realme C25Y is equipped with three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP B&W lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. For taking selfies there is an 8 MP front camera.


The 5,000 mAh battery completes the specifications of the Realme C25Y which is claimed to last up to 48 days thanks to Super Power Saving Mode. The 18W fast charging technology helps it recharge quickly.


Other complementary features embedded by Realme include a fingerprint sensor on the side, microUSB, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Realme C25Y comes in two color options, namely Glacier Blue and Metal Gray.
