Vivo Moves Xiaomi to be the King of HP in the market

Xiaomi is no longer the ruler of the mobile phone market in the country. The throne of the king of HP in the market has been successfully captured by Vivo.

Lei Jun's company was number one in the market throughout the second quarter of 2021, according to research conducted by Canalys. But in the recently released third quarter 2021 report, that position has been replaced by Vivo.

Throughout July to September, Vivo managed to control 23% of the HP market share in the market. Whereas in the previous quarter its position was in 5th place with a market share of 12%.

In addition to Vivo's online store support, the integration between modern and traditional channels made a direct contribution in this third quarter.

Amid the restrictions that need to be put in place in the third quarter, Vivo's traditional regional channels play an important role as one of our main sales bases.

Xiaomi's own position slipped to fourth position with a market share of 16% with an annual growth rate of minus 18. When compared with the second quarter of 2021, they were able to control 28% of the HP market in the market with a growth rate of 112% compared to the same period the previous year.

Oppo is the second leader of the HP market in the market. The brand that will soon release the Oppo A95 controls 22% of the market share with an annual growth value of minus 19%.

Samsung is the only brand that experienced positive growth in the third quarter with an annual growth of 7%. This makes it in third position with a market share of 18%.

The fifth position is Realme which has a market share of 13%, up slightly from 12% in the second quarter. But the annual growth rate is minus 18%. Here's the complete table.
