Google Play recently announced a list of the best Android apps and games for 2021. Now it's Apple's turn to announce the winners of the 2021 App Store Awards.
Just like Google Play Best of 2021, Apple's list of the best apps and games was also selected by its editorial team. Interestingly, the 15 best applications and games were chosen not only for iPhone and iPad, but also for other ecosystems such as Apple Watch, Apple TV, to Apple Arcade.
Best iPhone app title goes to Toca Life World. This app from developer Toca Boca is a world building game for kids where they can learn to express themselves.
MOBA game League of Legends: Wild Rift was chosen as the best iPhone game this year. For the best game, the Apple Arcade version was won by Fantasian, an RPG game created by the creators of Final Fantasy.
"Developers who won the 2021 App Store Awards are leveraging their passion and vision to deliver the best apps and games of the year -- driving the creativity and passion of millions of users around the world," said Apple CEO Tim Cook in a statement. (3/12/2021).
"From self-taught indie coders to inspiring leaders building global businesses, these leading developers are innovating with Apple technology, helping to foster the deep sense of community we need this year."
In addition to the best apps and games, Apple also announced 'Connection' as the Trend of the Year. This category is filled with apps and games that have a huge impact on their users and help them stay connected, both personally and professionally.
Just like the previous year's App Store Awards, this year's winner will also receive a special award from Apple in the form of a trophy with the App Store's iconic logo. Not only that the name of the winning application will be engraved on the back.
