1. China

In June this year, China began allowing children from 3-17 years of age to be immunized using Sinovac. China has set a vaccination target of 80% of its population of 1.4 billion, so that figure is impossible to achieve without vaccination of young people.



2. India

There are many teenagers in India with an estimated 253 million according to UNICEF calculations. The latest data from the National Serological Survey shows 60% of children have been exposed to the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. Finally, in August, emergency use permits began for Zydus Cadila for those aged 12 and above.


3. United States of America

United States and Canadian regulators allow the Pfizer vaccine for children 12 years of age and older. At the end of July, 42% of those aged 2-17 years had already received the first dose and 32% had received the second dose with either Pfizer or Moderna.
