A report in the Wall Street Journal said that Elon Musk did not actually rent a simple house as he claimed, but lived in a luxurious mansion owned by a friend. Although it has been denied by Elon himself, this is considered to remain a mystery.
As previously reported, Elon Musk for most of the year is said to be living in a Lake Austin mansion owned by an old friend and also looking to buy his own home in the Austin, Texas area.
According to sources, the owner of the mansion is Ken Howery, co-founder of PayPal with Elon Musk. Not only that, Musk is said to be currently actively looking for a house with the help of several real estate agents.
Elon Musk, who has sold his entire luxury home, has denied the news. "This WSJ article is wrong. I don't live there and I'm not looking for a home anywhere," Elon Musk argued.
Howery also threw his rebuttal. "He doesn't live at my place, he lives in South Texas. When he traveled to Austin, he was at my house as a guest," Howery explained.
However, the statement was considered ambiguous and not clear or unequivocal. It could be that Elon Musk has been Howard's guest for such a long time that the SpaceX and Tesla leader doesn't actually live in a rented plot near SpaceX's headquarters.
"Is it true that Elon Musk really lives far below his standards for reasons for minimalism? Or is this just a game to make him more connected? The world may never know," Futurism was quoted as saying by us.
