Qualcomm surprised at the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 by announcing the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 to power the Nintendo Switch competitor handheld console. In collaboration with Razer, the two companies created a developer kit.

By combining the entire range of Snapdragon Elite Gaming technologies to create a premium category from a dedicated consumer gaming product, this platform is designed to provide gamers with an exceptional experience on the go," Qualcomm said in a statement.
Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 is equipped with an Adreno GPU to run games at a smooth 144 frames per second and 10-bit HDR for games with over a billion colors. Equipped with Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Mobile Connectivity technology that brings Wi-Fi 6 and 6E for low latency and fast upload and download speeds.
Plus there's 5G mmWave and sub-6 support for ultra-fast, lag-free cloud gaming and simultaneously stream games with the most bandwidth from services like Xbox Cloud Gaming or Steam Remote Play.
Snapdragon Sound technology is also optimized for quality, latency and durability so gamers can pinpoint opponents and hear the sounds around them. Given the support from AKSys, it gives a precision touch to the controller mapping technology that allows the use of the built-in controller in various games.
An augmented multi-screen experience is possible with the ability to connect the XR display via USB-C to a Snapdragon G3x powered device. This technology also allows the device to act as a control companion on a 4K TV.
Razer Developer Kit
This console features a 6.65-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and 10-bit HDR. This device supports 120Hz refresh rate and has one billion colors.
Razer installed a 5MP webcam capable of recording 1080p at 60fps, and two microphones that players can use as the best broadcasting tool to record themselves playing while streaming games for their audience.
This console offers balanced, easy-to-grip control for comfortable play over long periods of time. The developer kit also includes built-in controller mapping from AKSys to give a precise touch to controller mapping technology to enable the use of built-in controllers in a wide variety of games.
