Konami Participates in NFT Sales, Sold Up to USD 162 thousand


 Konami managed to sell the NFT game Castlevania to reach USD 162 thousand. This was done to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the classic title, which has been out since 1986.

Through the OpenSea platform, titled Konami Memorial NFT Collection, the game company based in Japan is auctioning a number of his works at various prices. In total there are 14 artworks presented and an average of USD 12 thousand.



For the NFT with the highest selling rate, it fell to Dracula Castle Pixel Art for USD 26,538. Then a 3-minute highlight video was able to earn up to USD 17,518 in revenue, quoted by us from the Video Games Chronicle, Wednesday (19/1/2022).


From these sales, OpenSea has the right to take a 2.5% commission on every transaction on its website. That way, Konami can get a total of more than USD 157 thousand.


Konami said that the Memorial NFT Collection is the first project in this industry. Then when the amount received from the auction got bigger, they confirmed they would definitely come back with another bid.



Game companies following the trend of selling their digital products as NFTs, are not the first time the developers of Metal Gear and Slient Hill have done this. Previously, the video game giant based in France, namely Ubisoft, has also participated.


In Indonesia itself, NFT is increasingly loved by the public, since a young man from Semarang went viral who managed to sell selfie photos of up to Rp 1.5 billion. In total there are 933 photos offered at a price of 0.001 ETH or around IDR 48 thousand.


His real name is Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali, he has been doing this selfie activity since he was 18 to 22 years old, in the period 2017 - 2021. His initial goal was to make a timelapse of his changes with a flat and the same face every day.


When referring to the total collection of photos, the valuation of Ghozali's NFT is almost Rp 12.6 billion. It's just that according to his statement, if someone buys Rp. 20 million, then he gets 10% and so on. So that he got around Rp 1.5 billion.
