Novak Djokovic Deported by Australia Triggers Pros and Cons on Twitter

Novak Djokovic's last attempt to stay in Australia is over. His appeal was rejected, resulting in his visa being revoked, and so he was deported. This triggers the pros and cons of netizens on the timeline.

The Australian Federal Court has upheld the government's decision to cancel the Serbian tennis player's visa amid controversy over Djokovic's COVID-19 vaccination status.

"The previous government thought that the 34-year-old was a threat to public health," the BBC wrote.

This decision raises the pros and cons that are visible on Twitter. Many figures to ordinary netizens who joined the voice.

Well-known British presenter, Piers Morgan, fully supports Australia's decision. "Cheat about COVID-19 rules, liar about immigration and anti-vaccine icon Novak Djokovic lost and will be kicked out of Australia without being able to compete. Good," he wrote on Twitter.

Others felt Australia's actions were redundant. "I feel Australia is underestimating the Novak Djokovic incident that this country will be seen as anti-freedom and a place you shouldn't be," wrote Ben Doemenech, the American writer.

Journalist Avi Yemini supports Novak Djokovic. "Novak has more integrity, faith and courage than any Australian politician. He is a champion on and off the pitch," he tweeted.

But many supported Australia's decision. "Are you sorry for Novak not being able to compete at the Australian Open? Not at all," wrote one netizen.

"Novak Djokovic is now a hero to the far right by trying to enter a country by lying on his visa application about his vaccination status," wrote another.

"Like any other rule imposed by the government, Novak Djokovic's deportation from Australia will of course save thousands of lives," wrote @mtracey.

Sky Sports said Novak Djokovic is now not only deported from Australia but also has the potential to face a ban on visiting Kangaroo Country for the next three years.
