The iPhone 14 is one of the most awaited gadgets for its launch this year. But bad news for Apple fanboys, the iPhone 14 line will be sold at a higher price than its predecessor.
Not all iPhone 14 models will experience a price increase. According to leaks from tipster LeaksApplePro, the variants that will be sold at a higher price are the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
These two models will be launched at a price of USD 1,099 and USD 1,199 respectively. This means that the price of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max rose USD 100 from the previous generation, as quoted from Tom's Guide, Thursday (13/1/2022).
Meanwhile, the standard version of the iPhone 14 remains the same at USD 799. The newcomer variant of the iPhone 14 Max will reportedly be priced at USD 899.
14: $799

14 Pros: $1099
14 Pro Max: $1199
Apple is currently considering this.
Production costs are increasing and there has to be more than a $100 difference between the 14 Max and the 14 Pro.
Makes sense to me and wouldn't expect changes.

Consultant from DSCC Ross Young said the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have two holes in the screen with different shapes. There is a round hole that houses the Face ID dot projector, and a pill-shaped hole that will house the front camera and infrared camera for Face ID, as quoted from MacRumors, Thursday (13/1/2022).

With the cutouts for the round and pill-shaped holes, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max likely won't store the Face ID sensor under the screen as previously circulated. Young himself has a pretty good track record of leaking Apple products, but of course all these rumors have not been confirmed directly.
If it's in line with previous years, Apple is likely to introduce the iPhone 14 next fall. So we still have to wait quite a while to prove the accuracy of these leaks.
