The home of the future is one that can be controlled with a tablet device. Samsung also launched the Home Hub at CES 2022.

Samsung Electronics launched the Samsung Home Hub in the midst of the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event in Las Vegas, United States, Thursday (6/1/2021. This is a new way to manage household electronics through an innovative tablet-style touch screen device.

These devices provide instant access to customized and connected home services. The Samsung Home Hub offers enhanced connectivity with a variety of smart home devices, using AI and SmartThings to understand the needs of residents.

According to Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience at the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, HyesoonYang, the Samsung Home Hub brings seamless connectivity to the smart home. It will make life easier for users by adjusting the settings of household electronics and smart devices based on those preferences.

"Our device connectivity and Samsung Home Hub's intuitive interface allow everyone in the home to get things done quickly," he said.

The Samsung Home Hub will be able to connect to every product in the SmartThings ecosystem, including Samsung smart devices. In the near future, there will also be direct connectivity to other devices in the smart home system, such as lights and door lock systems.

The categories included in this SmartThings service are Cooking, Clothing Care, Pet, Water, Energy, and Home Care Wizard. For example, SmartThings Clothing Care will be connected to equipment such as the Bespoke Washer, Dryer and Bespoke AirDresser.

Another example is SmartThings Air can be connected to air conditioners and air purifiers to maintain air quality in the house. SmartThings Energy in the Samsung Home Hub analyzes electronic usage patterns for AI-enabled power-saving modes to help reduce electricity bills.

The SmartThings Home Care Wizard will monitor all the smart appliances in the home and send notifications when parts need to be replaced and offer guidance in the event of a breakdown.

The Samsung Home Hub is an exclusive 8.4-inch tablet that can be operated from the dock or used mobile at home. For voice control, the Samsung Home Hub has two microphones and two speakers so you can easily hear notifications and use Bixby's voice command feature.

If you have a question, just ask Bixby. With a high-performance microphone, the Samsung Home Hub can hear voice commands spoken in a large room while in its dock.

In recognition of its innovativeness, the Samsung Home Hub received the CES Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) ahead of CES 2022. The Samsung Home Hub will be available in Korea in March 2022 and globally after that.
