Disney Will Pull All Marvel Series on Netflix


 Starting next month Disney will pull Marvel films from Netflix such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Punisher, or The Defenders.

According to The Verge, a Netflix spokesperson who declined to be named has confirmed that Netflix's broadcast rights will expire on February 28, 2022.


Polygon points out that this change will come after some characters from Netflix shows appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.


Charlie Cox brought his Daredevil character into Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Vincent D'Onofrio played Kingpin in the Hawkeye show on Disney Plus.


Netflix and Marvel entered into a partnership in 2012 with Daredevil premiering on Netflix in 2015.



It is not known in detail the contents of the contract of the two companies, including how the license of the series to Netflix. Most likely, Netflix will lose their Marvel franchise forever.



Not surprisingly, Marvel shows will be pulled from Netflix next month, considering that Disney has a similar service, namely Disney Plus.


Disney may want all of its franchises and IPs back under its control, even though Netflix had a role in making the series.
