A series of rumors and leaks about the Oppo Find X5 series have emerged since the end of last year. But one thing is certain, the Oppo Find X5 will use a camera from Hasselblad.
Oppo has officially announced its collaboration with Hasselblad to develop the camera system in the Find X5 series. This announcement is actually not something surprising, considering the leaked design of the Oppo Find X5 shows the Hasselblad logo on the back.
Hasselblad has previously collaborated with OnePlus to develop camera features on the OnePlus 9 Pro. Given that OnePlus has now returned to being a sub-brand of Oppo, it will be interesting to see this new form of collaboration.
Based on its official announcement, Oppo said its partnership with Hasselkan will include large-scale technological innovations. Their collaboration will include color computing and optical computing, as well as joint research and research to develop the Hasselblad Focus Color, as quoted from Gizmochina, Wednesday (16/2/2022).
From previous leaks, the Oppo Find X5 is predicted to have three rear cameras consisting of a main camera and a 50 MP ultrawide camera that uses a Sony IMX766 sensor. The configuration is equipped with a 13 MP telephoto camera that supports 5x optical zoom.
The Oppo Find X5 series will also be equipped with the MariSilicon X chip which was announced late last year. This chip is a neural processing unit (NPU) specially designed for image processing.
The Oppo Find X5 lineup will likely include several models, but what's been rumored are the regular Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. The Oppo Find X5 Pro also recently appeared on the Geekbench database indicating that this phone will be released soon.
This phone is known to carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB of RAM, and managed to record a score of 1,256 points for single-core and 3,420 for multi-core.
