After a series of rumors and leaks, the Oppo Find X5 series has finally been released globally. Both the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro both carry a Hasselblad camera and a MariSilicon X NPU chip.
The regular edition of the Oppo Find X5 features a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Even though it doesn't have an LTPO panel like its sibling, the Find X5 screen still supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The back of the phone is covered with matte glass with a fingerprint-resistant frame. This phone also gets extra protection from Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Snapdragon 888 chipset powers the Find X5 combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. The phone runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 which brings many visual and privacy enhancements, as well as the Multi-Screen Connect feature.
Oppo Find X5 comes with three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, as well as a 13 MP telephoto camera. On the front there is a 32 MP camera for selfies that uses the IMX615 sensor.

Oppo also includes the MariSilicon X chip which is a neural processing unit (NPU) for processing images. Don't forget the Hasselblad Natural Color Callibration feature, just like in the Pro version.
The 4,800 mAh battery is pinned to support the performance of the Oppo Find X5, complete with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. There is also a 30W AirVOOC wireless charging feature.
The Oppo Find X5 has a multi-tier cooling system that includes an extra-large vapor chamber. Unfortunately, this phone does not have an IP rating for water and dust resistance.
The Oppo Find X5 comes in Black and White and can be ordered in Europe for 999 Euros for the 8GB/256GB variant.
Switch to Oppo Find X5 Pro which brings many improvements in terms of photography. Just like its predecessor, the Oppo Find X5 Pro has a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera that uses the Sony IMX766 sensor.
But the image processing algorithm in Find X5 Pro has been improved thanks to the MariSilicon X chip. It supports AI noise reduction and other processing tasks, 4K Ultra Night Video, and can capture HDR video at 20-bits per channel.
The Pro mode on the Find X5 Pro camera features the Hasselblad Natural Color Calibration which relies on a 13-channel color sensor. Oppo also uses a glass element in its camera which improves color accuracy. Hasselblad also helped develop Master filters so that users can edit photos more easily.
The main wide camera is now equipped with a 5-axis OIS system that combines a lens with sensor shift technology. Oppo says this is the first time such technology has been present in a mobile phone.
The camera on the Find X5 Pro is equipped with a 13 MP telephoto camera on the back that supports 2x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom. On the front there is a 32 MP selfie camera that uses a Sony IMX709 sensor.
Still on the front, the Find X5 Pro carries a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen uses an LTPO panel with 10-bit color rendering and 100% DCI-P3.
Its touch sampling rate penetrates 1,000 Hz so that the phone can react quickly. The screen has a brightness of up to 1,300 nits and offers 8,192 brightness levels.
Oppo Find X5 Pro carries the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset which is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. The phone runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

Oppo includes a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging which is claimed to be able to charge the battery up to 50% in 12 minutes. Wireless charging is also enhanced with 50W AirVOOC which can be fully charged in 47 minutes.
To maintain health and battery life, Oppo presents the Battery Health Engine feature. This feature allows the battery to go through 1,600 charge cycles before its quality drops to 80%.
Find X5 Pro carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The front of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while the back is ceramic.
Oppo Find X5 Pro comes in two color options, Ceramic White and Glaze Black. This phone goes on sale in Europe at a price of 1,300 Euros (Rp 20.9 million).
