Russia actually vented its threat to attack and invade Ukraine on Thursday (24/2). This event caught the world's attention. On social media, hashtags about Russia and Ukraine became a trending topic. But not infrequently also make it the material for memes and jokes.
With the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine there will certainly be victims of children, women, parents and citizens of both countries. There are three things we need to remember.
First, digital empathy. We shouldn't post jokes, because obviously there are victims who have died. Many people look for information on the development of the situation on the internet, but they are covered in useless jokes. Also, be careful using emoticons and emojis, which can lead to misunderstandings.
Second, continue and always call for peace through various social media channels, so that war does not spread. Avoid provocative speech. Love of peace is the character of the world nation.
Third, do not create and spread hoax content. Because hoax content can create a bad situation, both at home and abroad. Pay attention to the release date of photos, videos from the media or from social media. Check, then recheck carefully before sharing anything.
To note, the Russian attack began with explosions in a number of cities in Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Mariupol. Until now, the tension is still ongoing.
