Samsung states that the Galaxy S22 Series 5G has qualified battery power efficiency, so that the cellphone can be operated for a long time. Even though the battery capacity is not powered, it turns out that there are technical reasons that make the Galaxy S22 Series 5G battery last longer.
The trio of Galaxy S22 Series 5G appears with different battery capacities. The youngest Galaxy S22 5G is paired with a 3,700 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S22+ 5G has a 4,500 mAh battery, and the highest variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery.
Samsung stated that based on internal tests carried out, the Galaxy S22 5G battery can last up to a full day for normal use. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22+ 5G can last for more than a day, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G battery can accommodate up to a day more, for normal use (not a gaming or streaming marathon).
Samsung has an explanation as to why the batteries in the three new flagship smartphone products can last a long time, with not so large a battery capacity. This efficiency is obtained thanks to the high-level capabilities of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system on a chip (SoC).
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is predicted to have a very high processing speed. GPU and NPU capabilities are claimed to increase by 25-30% compared to the previous generation Snapdragon 8 series chipset.
In terms of battery efficiency, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 uses the latest architecture, namely Arm v9 which is made using Samsung's 4nm fabrication. With these fabrication numbers, this chipset has a high processing speed coupled with lower power consumption compared to chipsets with a larger fabrication number.
In theory, lower power consumption will allow the battery to last longer, and the resulting temperature is relatively low even when the system is working hard.
Complementing the battery life that is already quite good, Samsung provides the Galaxy S22 Series 5G a fast charging system for battery power (fast charging). The Galaxy S22 5G gets 25 watts of fast charging, while the Galaxy S22+ 5G and S22 Ultra 5G have 45 watts of fast charging. With this system, users don't have to wait long to fully charge the battery.
