For many travelers, securing transportation upon arrival in a foreign country is often a top priority. To simplify this, TNG eWallet now offers an overseas ride-hailing booking feature, accessible directly through its app.
With this new feature, users can book and pay for ride-hailing services without needing to download additional apps or register for new accounts. The entire process—from booking to payment—can be completed seamlessly within TNG eWallet. This feature is made possible through a partnership with Alipay+, enabling access to services across 47 countries and over 12,000 cities worldwide. Supported providers include Bolt (Europe), Lyft (United States and Canada), GO (Japan), Kakao T (South Korea), and DiDi (China).
To use the service, simply locate the “Ride Hailing Overseas” function within the TNG eWallet app. Select your city, set your pickup and drop-off locations, and choose your preferred vehicle type. Once a booking is confirmed, driver information and trip details will appear directly in the app. Notably, the fare is displayed upfront before the booking is finalized, and users can easily access their trip history and transaction records within TNG eWallet.
This launch positions TNG eWallet as one of the first digital wallets from Malaysia to offer both the booking and payment of global ride-hailing services within a single application. Furthermore, the app provides a range of other travel-related conveniences—such as cross-border payments, eSIM services, and travel offers—to enhance the user experience while abroad.
