WhatsApp Changes the Appearance of the Voice Call Interface, What Does It Look Like?

In addition to new features, WhatsApp is trying to polish the appearance of the application to make it more attractive. In the near future, we will see changes to the voice dialing interface, like what?

According to the WABetaInfo report, the WhatsApp beta 2.22.5.4 app for Android features a new voice calling interface. Some users of WhatsApp beta 2.22.5.3 for Android can also see the change.

In the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the new voice dialing interface is made cleaner and more concise. There are two panels with a typical WhatsApp background wallpaper.

The top panel displays the name or number, a picture of the contact and how long the call lasted. While on the bottom panel there are speaker, video, mute and call mute buttons.

Especially for group voice calls, there will be waves on each contact. The wave is to let the user know who is speaking during a call.

Currently the new look of the voice dialing interface is only in the Android beta, WABetaInfo ensures that in the coming days it will be in the iOS beta test. However, there is no prediction when the new display will be available to all users.

Along with the display change, WABetaInfo also reports that WhatsApp is working on several new features, including tweaking the internal camera and redesigned text view for iOS users and requesting a review of subscription status.
