Expensive iPhone Makes Apple Get More Money Than Samsung & Xiaomi


 By pricing the iPhone quite expensive, Apple will earn more money than any other vendor throughout 2021. In fact, the revenue earned is greater than that of Samsung and Xiaomi combined.

According to a Counterpoint Research report, the global mobile phone market revenue in 2021 has exceeded USD 448 billion. This is an increase of 7% from 2020, setting a record high in recent years.


Mentioned Apple is so far the leader in terms of revenue. Based on the data, Apple is the smartphone maker with the highest revenue in 2021.



Revenue from iPhone increased by 35% over the same period last year to USD 196 billion. Apple itself accounts for 44% of total smartphone sales globally.


Strong demand for the iPhone 12 and 13 Series raised the average selling price of the iPhone by 14% to $825.




Samsung came in second with revenue of USD 72 billion and the average selling price rose 5% to USD 263 . Oppo (including OnePlus from Q3 2021) ranks third.


The Chinese vendor's revenue rose 47% year over year to USD 37 billion. The average selling price of Oppo smartphones increased 15% year-on-year to USD 259.


Xiaomi is in 4th place with revenue of USD 36 billion. This is thanks to an increase in shipments and market share of flagship phones such as the Mi 11 Series.



Vivo is fifth, its revenue jumped 43% from the previous year to USD 34 billion n. The average price rose 19% year over year to USD 259 .


Looking at the data above, iPhone accounts for most of the global mobile phone market revenue (USD 196 billion). This is more than Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo combined (USD 179 billion).
