How to Check iPhone IMEI, Official or BM?

Cheap iPhones that are often peddled on social media or e-commerce are indeed tempting to buy, but you have to be careful. It's better to check the IMEI of the iPhone to make sure it's official or black market (BM).

This is important to do, because since September 18, 2020, the government has enforced the IMEI Rules. BM or illegal iPhones will not receive a cellular operator signal in the country.

IMEI check applies not only to iPhone, but to all HP brands used by the general public. IMEI is a 15-digit number from the Global System for Mobile Association (GSMA) to identify telecommunications equipment connected to the cellular network.

The IMEI number is registered with the Ministry of Industry when the cellphone is about to be sold. The government then matches the IMEI number with the identity number on the SIM card or Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number (MSISDN) from cellular operator data.

Users can check for themselves whether their cellphones will be blocked or not by checking their respective IMEIs. If registered, the phone can be used.

Now to check the official iPhone IMEI or BM is very easy.
