iPhone SE 2022 Criticized Not Up to Apple's Standards, Why Is That?

The iPhone SE 2022 does not provide a breakthrough design or features, perhaps because it is aimed at the middle class market. However, Apple is still subject to criticism from various parties.

iPhone SE is equipped with reliable innards in the form of the A15 Bionic processor, exactly the same as in the much more expensive iPhone 13. There is also 5G connectivity. However, it is considered not enough for Apple's standards.

"Faster chips and better networks are okay. But most SE users won't really notice the changes. Almost all commonly used apps run equally well on 4G networks," Tae Kim, a technology columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald, was quoted as saying by us, Wednesday (9/3/2022).

"Overall, the iPhone SE will disappoint Apple consumers who have been waiting for a new version of the affordable iPhone. Its 5-year-old design feels stale. It's clear that Apple isn't prioritizing consumers in lower markets, disappointing for a company with a USD 22 billion research and development budget. per year," he added.

According to him, Apple could actually do more for the iPhone SE 2022. For example, by improving the design, improving the quality of the screen and camera or even by cutting the price.

If that is done, the iPhone SE 2022 has great potential to make competing cell phone users glance at it. But of course there is a reason why Apple only provides a modest upgrade for the iPhone SE 2022.

"Apple may be concerned that a completely upgraded iPhone SE will cut demand on the more expensive iPhone 13," said Tae Kim. However, according to him, this is unreasonable because many iPhone users are still eyeing the more expensive models even though there are cheap iPhone options.
