There have been many cases of 'crazy rich' being discussed recently. One of them is the case of Indra Kenz and Doni Salmanan. Before being named suspects in the Binomo fraud case, both of them were considered to have often shown off their success and wealth on social media. This phenomenon is also known as flexing.
Though not all rich people need to do that. Especially if they are really rich! Even some of the world's richest people are reported to live frugal lifestyles.
Looks Simple but Still Elegant
Just like most other people, Crazy Rich's appearance is actually simple. They even try not to stand out too much.
Citing Vice, a Professor of Sociology at the New School for Social Research, NY, found that many rich people are very careful in spending their money.
According to his research, the rich are aware of these privileges, but that doesn't mean they like to attract attention, like the content of young people who like to show off their parents' wealth on social media.
It's true that in Indonesia, the wealth reaches trillions
Academics and Business Practitioners Prof. Rhenald Kasali in his YouTube account also revealed the same thing. Rich people really don't overdo it. Fake crazy rich usually will often show themselves that they are rich, so they often use clothes and bags whose labels are seen excessively.
Privacy is Upheld
The problem of attracting attention is not only minimal, it is shown on expensive brand labels that are clearly displayed on the outfits that are being worn. Prof. Rhenald also revealed that real rich people actually want more privacy, instead of thirsting for attention and validation.
This is also related to security of course. Because often these rich people become targets of crime, or get new difficulties.
They also don't tire of impressing other people or showing their social status for what they actually have.
