Garmin released a new series for the Fenix line. The 7X Sapphire Solar series offers a spacious smartwatch with decent battery life.
The presence of this smart watch seems to be the answer to the complaints of many users about smartwatch battery life, especially those that have full features and large screens.
We've been testing the Garmin Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar for two weeks. The following is a review of the Swiss manufacturer's watch.
Design
The Garmin Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar has a very macho design. With a large screen measuring 1.3 inches, it can present complete information and notification notifications.
There is no screen pixel update compared to the Fenix 6 Pro Solar Edition series. The difference is, the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar has embedded a touch screen screen.
This touch screen screen makes it easy to delete notifications or read incoming messages without having to press the buttons on the edge of the bezel. Even though it's already using a touch screen, the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar hasn't been able to reply to text messages directly.
The bezel design that uses titanium on the front cover makes the watch impact resistant. The watch lens uses Sapphire power glass so that the display looks clear.
The weight of the watch is not too heavy, 73 grams complete with strap. The dimensions of the watch are 47x47x14.5 millimeters.
Physically, the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar design is identical to the Fenix 6 series. Garmin has upgraded the innards of the watch.
Top Battery Life
The solar technology on the Garmin Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar is suitable for users who are lazy to charge. We've tried since unboxing until two weeks of use still leaves a lot of power.
The battery has been charged for 22 days since it was first turned on. For continuous use connected to a smartphone connected to the Connect application, the battery still has 14 days remaining after more than 2 weeks of use.
This 100 percent power hour is claimed by Garmin to last for 22 days (all features are turned on) with the help of an embedded solar panel. Charging with sunlight will be maximized if the watch is used outdoors in hot sunlight conditions.
This watch is suitable for use by active users, as well as adventurers who need GPS support without having to worry about running out of battery while on the move.
